Streszczenie
In the scientific literature, there is no field test results for the removal of organic pollutants and nutrients in sewage-type VF-CW during low temperatures, as well as evaluation of buildings after years of service. This paper presents the results of the composition of the raw sewage and treated in a wastewater treatment "a household" after 16 years of service with an indication of the efficiency of the removal of organic pollutants and biogenic compounds depending on the season. The results showed high efficiency in the removal of organic compounds from wastewater expressed in BOD5 and COD. Average removal efficiency of organic compounds was 94% for BOD5 and 91% for COD. Removal of nitrogen compounds were unstable over time and subject to fluctuations in annual and depend on the composition of the raw sewage, and environmental conditions (such as temperature and evapotranspiration). It has been shown that the examined object nitrification occurs, a temporary lack of oxygen (winter conditions) to increase efficiency in the removal of nitrogen in the process of denitrification. In the period under study the average efficiency of total nitrogen removal from wastewater was 64%. The test object was characterized by a surprisingly high total phosphorus removal efficiency. Efficiency of removal of phosphorus from the waste water ranged from 55% to 84%, averaging 74%. The observed increase in the efficiency of phosphorus removal, it may relate to the previous lightening bed and thus increase its ability to re-bind to phosphate.
